AmP Hall of Fame: CA Bishop dis-invites Planned Parenthood

by Thomas Peters on March 4th, 2010

I’m very pleased to see that Bishop Daniel Walsh of the diocese of Santa Rosa, CA moved to dis-invite Six Rivers Planned Parenthood from St. Joseph Health System’s Health and Resource Fair earlier last month.

He is already getting local flak for it, but he has made the right choice. I am not endorsing every decision he has made while bishop, but this one (again) was the correct one.

Making the right choice is often not easy, so I applaud the bishop’s courageous move. Catholic hospitals and their administration can never cooperate with organizations that support killing the most innocent human beings of all.

God bless Bishop Walsh. Way to ‘bish’! May many more of our Shepherd’s take up their swords as well.

I want to know why it took 10 years after St. Joseph purchased Santa Rosa General Hospital for Planned Parenthood to be dis-invited…
