I will be on Sean Hannity tonight (9PM EST) discussing Harry Knox and his numerous anti-Catholic comments

by Thomas Peters on February 5th, 2010

I’ll be on Sean Hannity’s show on FOX NEWS tonight sometime between 9 and 10PM EST, discussing Obama’s faith-based advisor Harry Knox and his most recent anti-Catholic comments, which I wrote about yesterday.

Since then, House Minority Leader John Boehner called Knox an “anti-Catholic bigot” and announced he would sign on to the letter I have signed demanding that Knox resign. More about this at CNSNews.com.

My friends at the St. Michael Society have launched a petition where Catholics can go and join our efforts to demand that Knox resign.

Please say a prayer that all goes well – as I pointed out earlier, DC is beginning to bear the brunt of a very dangerous winter storm.

The response level to local and national disasters is great but it’s a damn shame that so many people take advantage of the negative situations.

I mean everytime there is an earthquake, a flood, an oil spill – there’s always a group of heartless people who rip off tax payers.

This is in response to reading that 4 of Oprah Winfreys “angels” got busted ripping off the system. Shame on them!

Excellent appearance. You have “matured”…growing more confident and relaxed speaking on camera. Great job! Your parents must be proud! This is your best so far.
I said a prayer for you last night and I am so happy to see how much love, grace, and presence that Jesus is giving you in your career.Don’t ever forget to call home and give Him all the glory and praise! May the peace of our Lord Jesus be with you always….jcd.

Way to grab the mike time when you wanted it Tom!!! Seriously, well done. And you sound more level-headed than your counterpart from the MRC too. BTW, you did misquote Knox as saying “killing people in the name of Jesus,” whereas I think his word was the more ambiguous ‘harming’ people. A retraction/correction you might have to make later, but an easy one to off-load. Nice tie too. :)

Huzzah. Rock on.
A suggestion? Here at the new digs, how about including “American Papist” somewhere in the masthead? If ya got the “brand,” you might as well use it, and it has better continuity, i.e. yes, you’re in the right place. And, I miss the Cardinals…

Thomas…
Great job tonight!!! I have been a fan of AmPapist and CVA for a long time. I am a “GenXY” Anglo-Catholic Anglican in process for Holy Orders…it’s good to see someone in our age bracket on fire for the truth of Sacred Scripture and Apostolic Tradition. I commend to you the intercession of my birthday saint, on the Pre-Vatican II Calendar…St. Gabriel Possenti of Our Lady of Sorrows…patron of youth, seminarians, clergy, college students, students, and Catholic Action.
Our Lord Jesus Christ the King, have mercy upon us…Our Lady of Walsingham, pray for us!!!
Blessings…Brian <

Excellent showing on Fox News tonight! All Catholics should be defending the Pope against these attacks!

Great Job Thomas, it was a good discussion! I was pleasantly surprised to see you as I wasn’t aware you’d be on tonight.

To Gabe: I agree with you, but I also felt that Fr. Euteneuer had come across just a tad bit sanctimonious in that debate (if you can call it that). Neither of them were perfect examples of Christian charity and patience that night.

I’m not aware of a place to watch it live online – maybe other readers can help. I will make sure a youtube of my appearance makes it online here.

I don’t get Fox with my basic cable. I looked at the Fox website and I don’t think they stream it live either. Let us know of a way we can see it.

I share Gabe’s dislike of Hannity, though I wouldn’t so so far as to call it scandal. I am glad Carlson, not Hannity, will be interviewing you tonight, it will make it more enjoyable for me to watch.

Tucker Carlson is guest-hosting the show, not Hannity.

Actually, I think Sean Hannity is a bigger scandal and threat for the Church than Knox. Everyone knows Knox is an anti-Catholic bigot, and he should resign. Hannity, on the other hand, proclaims to be Catholic, while publicly dissenting. Father Euteneuer, a great priest here in the Diocese of Arlington and President of Human Life International, wrote a column about it three years ago, and Sean invited him on the show to try to publicly humilate him. The video on HLI’s website of the exchange shows Sean’s true colors.
