Does anyone know how I can get myself officially excommunicated from the Catholic church?

If you are not a Catholic, you cannot. Excommunication applies to Catholics and essentially means that person cannot not take any of the Sacraments. If one is not a Catholic, it makes no sense to seek to be officially denied things that one has no interest in having in the first place. While there are societal ramifications of excommunication, its primary purpose is medicinal. Instead, I think it the time would be better spent reading the first link under point #5 about "risk compensation" and how the Pope's position jives with reality.
